Add some more information about yourself and your horse! After logging in, click on the "Add Child Page" link below, and start typing away in the blue-grey "Body" field. HERE you can find some more information how to use the built in editor and picture upload feature.
Some useful information you might want consider to add would be your full name (not everybody knows who jerry54 is), your horse's name, a cell phone number, and your email address, but be careful to write it down as hans (at) hotmail (dot) com , don't write hans@hotmail.com (a sure way to get spammed!). IM (Instant Messenger) names, skype name, etc. can also be useful for people to contact you.
I own my young gelding Paint "Mikey", while Marcy leases her Arab gelding
"Jerrico", aka "JerriCola", therefore "Cola". I spent nearly 30 years in Hi Tech Manufacturing before moving to an "encore" career at Stanford - getting paid to do my hobby as a Webmaster in the School of Engineering. Marcy manages a large group of Business Analysts at Silicon Valley Bank.
I joined the San Mateo Sheriff's Mounted Search and Rescue unit which gives me the opportunity to do volunteer work with my horse. Much of it is riding, but occasionally it's merely on the ground with him. It's great training for both of us. Marcy doesn't ride as much as I do, working in Santa Clara, but her boy is quite mature and doesn't get sour, even if there are long gaps between rides.

My 13-year-old daughter would like to find a horse to help care for, or a half lease. She has had several lessons, and loves it very much. (What's new, right?).
She wants to be a vet when she grows up, and wants to spend lots of time with a horse, feeding, grooming, etc. I will get her a horse of her own someday, but I prefer not to do that quite yet, until she's had more experience and is sure she will stick with this.
Marianne is adult size (5'8" and ~130lbs) so she would not need a small horse or pony. We live only a few miles away, so she can get there frequently.
Thank you, amya54

This could be your very own shed. 1 time payment of only $400 and it's YOURS!
My shed is the red shed two doors from the port-o-potty. It has a built in 3 saddle rack, room for feed bins, large shelf that runs around the whole top and plenty of room to store items behind (hay).
If you do not have too much stuff you can share it with a friend of your choice.
If you are interested, please call Corey @ 415-531-8231.
Sue Winslow is leasing two horses at PageMill Pastures. I like Western trail riding and have been having a great time with the wonderful people at PageMill. I love riding in the Ranch pastures, riding the trails adjacent to the Ranch and trailering the horses to local parks and the beach.
Gypsy is a sweet older palomino Quarter Horse mare. She has taught me a lot about riding and taking care of a horse.
Rico is a 6 year old dun Mustang gelding. He is a major challenge for me, but can be a great trail horse.
I have owned "The Blonde One", Mineral's Flaxen Athena, or "Blondie" as she is known to most people at the ranch now for several years. I'd never owned a gaited morgan before I got her, and it has been one of the most interesting odysseys I have ever embarked on in all my years of owning horses. I'd never owned a gaited horse, let alone knew how to ask them for gait or if I even wanted a gaited horse. She sort of "fell into my lap" and I've never looked back although in the early days I often wondered what the heck I was doing (especially when training her to turn her gait "on/off" on command). She is an absolute joy to own, and the most athletic, opinionated, intelligent, and versatile horse I've ever ridden but sometimes I believe she thinks my only purpose in life is to cater to her needs, LOL!! We regularly do trail trials, sometimes do limited distance endurance, trail riding and horse camping, cross-country and stadium jumping, dressage, and the occasional show w/my "partner in crime" Jennifer and Blondie's "girlfriend" Jamaica
. I really enjoy boarding at Pagemill Pastures and value all the friendships I've made over the years.

My daughter, Ivana, and I (Sharon Doubek) were introduced to Cody in April 2004 by Denise O. My daughter was having some difficulty at school at the time and needed a way to channel her engery in a positive way. She had been taking riding lessons at Fremont Hills for several years but wanted a horse she could call her own. Denise knew Cody was a rescue horse who needed TLC and thought he would be a good match for Ivana. We leased Cody for a few months then purchased him in January 2005. He and Ivana spent many hours teaching each other to trust and to not be afraid to try new things. Ivana trained Cody to go over jumps and to behave properly on trail rides with other horses. It was a labor of love for both of them.
When Ivana entered high school there was less and less time for Cody. He went back to his bad habit of running away whenever we came out to the pasture to catch him. This went on so long we considered selling him, but who wants a horse that can't be caught? Almost everyone at Pagemill offered help and advice on catching him. Finally, Giselle called me one day and said she managed to get a halter on him and had him in one of the feeding pens. This is when I decided it was time for me to get serious and start putting into practice the Parelli Natural Horsemanship techniques I was studying on and off for about a year. Within a few weeks of "re-hab", Cody became more calm and manageable. Since then I have been working with him using the Parelli Level 1 "games". If you see me in the round pen with Cody doing some unconventional things, please be aware that it works for us and we are making progress. I look forward to joining you on trail rides soon (thanks to Pete and Margo for inviting me)!
Well, I've been riding one of the biggest and most admired (at least by the girls) horses for most of last year. Joey has been quite a good teacher for me - he expects clear commands to get going at all.
I started riding in spring 2006, taking a few lessons before heading up to the Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch in Quincy (1h north of Truckee) for our summer vacation, which we repeated again in 2007. Riding through the woods on small trails is just fantastic!
